About Me

Hi, I’m Mark.

I came to this work through a long-standing interest in how people make sense of their experience, as well as my own life. I bring a deep curiosity about therapy, the body, and creativity.

What matters most to me is creating a space where you can slow down and explore what’s going on, without pressure to explain everything or to be a certain way. I don’t see people as broken or in need of fixing. More often, something in your experience is asking for attention – and therapy is a way of beginning to listen to that.

My approach is shaped by psychotherapy, embodiment, curiosity, and creativity.

Whether I’m working one-to-one or in a workshop setting, the focus is similar: paying attention to what’s happening in the moment, and making sense of it together. This can include thoughts, feelings, bodily experience, and the ways we relate to others. I’m interested in what emerges when we take time with these things, rather than trying to quickly change or resolve them. I find that lightness and humour can also be incredibly helpful.

I’m a registered Psychotherapist (UKCP) and Somatic Movement Therapist (BMCA).

Alongside my clinical work, I teach and facilitate in a range of settings, including Embody-Move UK, Institut Prozessarbeit Deutschland, and King’s College London, where I contributed to research on arts and wellbeing in higher education

I’ve worked extensively within NHS mental health services, and have also supported staff through retreats and supervision spaces. My background includes community arts (MA Goldsmiths) and international workshop facilitation (USA, Palestine, Spain Germany), which continues to inform the way I work.

I aim to bring a thoughtful, creative and grounded presence to the work – with space for humour, curiosity, and not having everything figured out.
